Walton Boys Lacrosse Advances To 2nd Round of Playoffs

Walton Boys Lacrosse beat East Coweta High School 18-4 in Round 1 on Tuesday night.  They advance to Round 2 and will face Northview High School on Monday, May 8th at 7:30 pm in Raider Valley.  Please come out to cheer on the boys and show your support. Go Raiders!

State Playoffs Underway for Spring Sports

As the school year draws to a close, spring is definitely in the air, and that means spring sports and the state playoffs have moved to the forefront. All regular seasons are complete for the 12 sports which compete in the spring (and Precision Air Rifle, which competes all year and finishes in the spring).

April 27th, Walton Lady Raider Golf Team took 4th place at Area Tournament with a score of 261. Angela Deng lead the team with a stellar score of 73, just one shot off best score of the tournament. CONGRATULATIONS RIFLE TEAM STATE COMPETITORS

Special congratulations go out to two WHS Rifle Team Shooters – Wendy Yao and Lucas Raines.  Yao and Raines qualified to compete as individuals in the GHSA State Championship by shooting 290 out of 300 during regular season matches.  They traveled with Head Coach James Orff to Fort Benning in Columbus, GA on April 21-22.

Varsity Boys Lacrosse Secures Playoff Spot with 12-4 Win Over Etowah

Walton Boys Lacrosse had an impressive 12-4 win over Etowah Friday night, securing a playoff spot for the region.  Walton offense shared the spotlight with 7 different players putting points on the board.  Leading the scoring were Seniors Will Meinders and Sam Hollinger with 3 goals apiece, and Junior Harrison Mills who had 2 goals and 1 assist.
