Eleven Walton student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers in college on the first day of the spring signing period on Wednesday, April 17. Six of these student-athletes participated in an evening event in the Information Center where they had a chance to share this momentous occasion with family, friends, coaches, and teammates, while five participated in a morning event in the Principal’s office. These most recent 11 signees bring the total number of Walton Raider student-athletes earning the privilege to continue their athletic careers in college to 37 for the 2018-19 graduating class.
These 11 Raiders include baseball players Will Marconi (Virginia Cavaliers) and Brandon Nikitaides (East Tennessee State Bucs); basketball player Jordan Krueger (Sewanee Tigers); fastpitch softball player Ashley McDonald (Princeton Tigers); lacrosse player Abby Kellner (Coker College Cobras); soccer player Chris Euston (Bates College Bobcats); tennis player Connor Murphy (Berry College Vikings); track athletes Allison Mitchell (North Georgia Nighthawks) and Abigail Robertson (Furman Paladins); and wrestler Cole Hixon (Tennessee-Chattanooga ).
Four Walton student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers in college during the February signing period for football that began on Wednesday, February 6. Each of these Raider gridiron greats participated in the signing event in the Information Center at Walton in the morning before attending the metro Atlanta event at Stars and Strikes in Dacula. These young men include Kendall Alford (Western Carolina University Catamounts), Trey Middleton (East Tennessee State University Bucs), Brandon Spencer (Lehigh University Mountain Hawks), and Connor West (Birmingham Southern College Panthers).
Four Walton football players signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers in college during the new early signing period for football on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Each of these current Raiders participated in the signing event in the Information Center at Walton on Wednesday morning before attending the metro Atlanta event at Stars and Strikes. These talented individuals include Dominick Blaylock (University of Georgia Bulldogs), BJ Gibson (US Naval Academy Midshipmen), Austin Kirksey (University of Nevada Wolf Pack), and Drew Michalek (Williams College Ephs).
Eighteen Walton student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers in college on the first day of the early signing period Wednesday, November 14, 2018, the most ever at Walton to sign during one signing period. Each of these current Raiders participated in the Signing Night event in the Information Center at Walton on Wednesday evening, sharing their past successes and future plans with family, friends, coaches, and teammates.
These talented individuals include baseball players Jacob Baldino (Virginia Cavaliers), Luke Boynton (Nebraska Cornhuskers), Pierce Gallo (Clemson Tigers), Justin Carr (Berry Vikings), and John Geisler (Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets); fastpitch softball player Allison Andriano (Reinhardt Eagles); lacrosse player Alana Epstein (Furman Paladins); rower Madison Stafford (Southern Methodist University Mustangs); track & field athlete Elasia Campbell (Duke Blue Devils); soccer player Hannah Casey (Davidson Wildcats); and volleyball players Lauryn Burrows (Florida State Seminoles), Caroline Cheney (North Carolina Tar Heels), Meghan Froemming (Georgia Bulldogs), Gabby Gonzales and Reilly MacNeill (Ohio State Buckeyes), Molly Pember (Auburn Tigers), Jordan Rush (Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish), and Riley Spurlin (Rollins Tars).
