Raiders Use Running Game to Beat Pope

The Walton Raider football team kept to the ground in defeating the Pope Greyhounds 41-7 on Friday night to improve its record to 3-0. Stephan Jean-Francois carried the ball 11 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns while D.J. Soyoye added 91 yards and two scores on 10 carries. Austin Kirksey also contributed a rushing touchdown and connected with Chandler Smith on a 25-yard touchdown through the air.

The Raiders have a bye this Friday night. They will be back in action next Friday, 9/15, when they host the Wheeler Wildcats in Raider Valley at 7:30pm.
